As a person who has spent a 45 year career in education, I find it scary how little we actually know about our own United States history. If I recall, the way I was taught history could not have been more boring. We read boring textbooks and had to memorize dates and facts. The idea of relevancy and the sharing of how to make students care is still missing from most classrooms.
