I do see how this would be faster and also reduce the amount of waste by the bartenders giving a little extra in a patrons drink or by spillage. Yes they have devices that can attach to the bottles and dispense a pre-measured amount but all the bartender has to do is hit the button again. This may be locked or prevented. Eventually we'll have a robot that we can control like an avatar while we sit at home and waste away. I live in Florida. I'm just waiting to where I can order a Philly cheesesteak by drone and have it flown down here and dropped off in my front yard.

Maybe you would think the loss in shaving would be offset by the increase in trimmer sales. Did Norelco, Remington or Wahl have an increase in trimmer sales?

  • This is a bit surprising. I wonder though, how much of the 45% came from illegal vs legal entry?

  • A quick search shows plastic bags and bottles are the top items found in most garbage bags. There are 100% biodegradable bags out there. I know you would have to use a nylon bag a thousand times to make up for the energy it cost to make one. I'm not sure on how much energy a biodegradable bag cost. But

I know you would have to use a nylon bag a thousand times to make up for the energy it cost to make one. I'm not sure on how much energy a biodegradable bag cost. But the fact that they can decompose in 3 to 6 months is a lot better than the several hundred years of a plastic bag. Maybe we should go back to having milk in glass containers again or making glass soda bottles only. Glass does create more than 6 times the global warming gases than plastic and costs more to ship, but it's easier to recycle. The numbers suck to read but we may have to choose between the lesser of two evils. It's also going to take more discipline for people to change their ways and do better with recycling. Maybe we should just focus on the most common items found in garbage and find a way to decrease their use. A lot of companies probably don't want to go with glass because of the expense and it may hurt their bottom line. We've known this problem for a long time but obviously people and businesses out there aren't changing fast enough. Maybe we would have to use force in order to get people to use biodegradable bags and glass bottles instead of plastic. And by force I mean for the government the step in and make the use of plastic bags and/or bottles illegal for supermarkets and bottling companies.

I agree with Weiyee. The LGBTQI Issue is being pushed too hard on everyone, especially our children, for the reason he said, "Political Correctness". A lot of ads, TV shows, and movies, have interracial couples, gay couples, even video games have transgender characters in them. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it seems to be a priority over heterosexual or same race telationships in television or ads. I believe in equal rights for everybody. But nobody can say anything these days without their words being analyzed for racial or gender discrimination. Even innocently. A male transsitioning to female was miss-gendered at a store on a video somebody recorded from their phone. This woman wanted to call corporate and sue for being miss-gendered by the associate. That can happen even if you're not transitioning to another sex. Remember affirmative action back in the 90s? Where a Caucasian with experience might not get a job because there wasn't enough minorities in the company. Fire departments were taking minority rookies instead of experienced Caucasian men to be firefighters because of the backlash they would get for not having a diverse group of employees. Like I said I'm a firm believer in equality for everyone no matter race, gender, nationality, whatever. It's taking a very long time for this country to get to the point where we don't see color or gender when talking to another person and trying to treat everybody the same no matter what. It is catching on but yes it's going to take time. But I feel that a lot of the younger generation growing up are going to start resenting people that are different because it's being pushed on them. I see lots of ads and TV shows were couples are interracial or homosexual. It's at the point where it's almost rare to see two people of the same race, or opposite sex on a show. Instead everybody has to have a gay, transgender, or interracial character on the segment in order to show that they are not discriminating against anyone. I am okay with interracial and gay couples it does not bother me and I have a wide circle of friends that are very diverse. I just feel like it's being pushed too hard on everyone instead of just letting it go and work it's way in as being normal. I seriously hope I didn't offend anyone by what I'm saying. It's just another point of view from another person. Many people see things differently. Anthony Cabreras' post explains it much better than I.

  • Did we just solve the problem to all the plastic in the oceans and landfills?

  • Well when someone gets ran over I hope they don't try to sue Uber. Stay away and let the vehicles be. Although field testing has got to be priceless. These jokers are risking their lives to test these cars for free!

  • I love how everyone knows this is a bad idea. Did anyone not speak up at the company and say "Ummmm.....I don't think this is a good idea." Or maybe someone did and later on they were cleaning out their desk. Making everyone else just go along with it in order to keep their jobs. How did this not get shot down?

  • If I were to let them come in my home I would utilize security cameras that I can watch from anywhere and smart locks on my doors so I can unlock them using an app on my phone. Even though they will be wearing body cameras that's just one side of the party. I want my own footage as well.

  • Depending on where the washroom is located, it may be easier for us men to do a sit down pee than try to stand while this thing is banking. Wold make for a very messy washroom.
