This will end up being like those climate change deniers unless something happens. Economists and governments should focus on how the future is going to be and if low level jobs are going to be replaced, then focus on how to educate people at lower costs. Is capitalism the future? or is it a mix of socialism. The implications are manifold. Taking it to an extreme probably but A society will only remain peaceful as long as everyone has food to eat and a place to stay. Deny people this basic right and all hell will break lose.

I think slacks success comes from the managers, who Might be mistaken in thinking that the team is working better as they see that people are passing messages, but it does affect optimal performance. Quite a few times, I have felt that there was a lot done during the day but the effective output was zero. I was ended up working on mundane tasks and leaving out the important ones.

In real life, people are not always agreeable to what one says. So in a social interaction there is a discussion. In the online world we are mostly obligated to press the ‘like’ button. In some cases it is that you press like for my posts and press like for yours. This has bypassed the need for listening to others view points.

Not only dopamine but you can avoid getting into stress today. Games give us the advantage of correcting mistakes with a simple reload or in multiplayer games you have the advantage of being anonymous. So if say something bad anonymously, it isn’t you who said that. In human interactions, if we make a mistake while communicating you can’t undo that. You definitely learn and avoid that in the future, by why go through that trouble and that stress of a social situation ?

God help us when VR and MR come into widespread adoption.

In the case of a museum, one keeps discovering something new in what they have already seen as these are paintings and our interpretation of a painting changes the more we watch them and based on our emotional state at that time. Probably the study should have focused on daily mundane tasks.
