After watching US President Barack Obama and opponent Mitt Romney face off over healthcare, jobs, and taxes in their first debate, a group of White House correspondents found themselves in the wrong motorcade. White House reporters are shuttled between Obama’s events and the White House by the president’s press office, but according to notes from the evening, one group of reporters ended up in a van for Romney’s press crew. They realized their mistake, Agence France Press reporter Stephen Collinson wrote, when the driver said, “I think that Romney did real good.” Collinson said there was a “moment of baffled silence” before the group realized where they were. They piled out of the van and sprinted to the correct motorcade which was parked right in front of Romney’s.
