Chinese tourists, scared silly by regular reports on state-controlled media about Japanese military equipment and drills are now afraid to visit Japan. The East Asian neighbours have fallen out over some uninhabited islands in the East China sea. And while the Chinese government has not banned travel to Japan, travel agents are no longer keen to sell tickets out of fear for customers’ safety, the Asahi Shimbun reports.
