Bradley Berman test-drives Tesla’s new Model S. The biggest problem with electrics thus far is not range but lack of pizazz–if you cannot get where you want with confidence, at least get there in style. Tesla, however, manages both. Berman drove more than 200 miles as fast as he wanted on California roads. Few drivers can or will cough up $60,000 to $100,000 for a car, even if it is ultra-trendy. But Tesla is setting the mark for what will allow electrics to penetrate the market.
