

A Chongqing driver hoping to sell a “Lamborghini” he cobbled together using Hyundai Coupe body and a 2,000 yuan ($327) conversion kit had his hopes dashed this weekend after police towed the car before he could find a buyer.
The driver parked the Hyundorghini on a busy street in the southwest China city, attracting plenty of attention. He told a local paper he “just wanted to see how much he could get for it,” the state-run Global Times reported.
It seems there are plenty of instances when people have tried to turn cars into Lamborghinis in China, including this Nissan Cefiro and this Toyota $TM, which costs about 420,000 yuan ($69,000) and is known as a “Shanzhai Lamborghini.“
