UK prime minister Theresa May’s latest attempt to push her plan through parliament failed today.

Even though the UK has been preparing for two years to leave the EU there is still no deal in place for what that divorce will look like with the breakup nearly two weeks. With so few days left before March 29, each one matters.

Parliament’s second rejection of her proposal triggers a new series of votes May has agreed to hold. MPs will vote whether to simply leave the EU without a deal, or to ask the EU for more time to come up with a solution. Whatever happens, there is still significant uncertainty at this eleventh hour.
