After the US Supreme Court made gay marriage legal in all 50 states on June 26, the already planned Pride Parade in New York City is expected to be historic.
Other pride celebrations took place around the world this weekend—including in San Francisco, Spain, Turkey and Korea—and the jubilant, colorful photos are emblematic of the diversity and size of the international gay community. In Seoul, an estimated 20,000 people participated in the march, the largest to date, while Christian activists condemned the event. In New York, a moment of silence was observed for those who have died from HIV and AIDS.
