Police in suburban Sydney, Australia were prepared for a scene of domestic mayhem when they answered an emergency call this weekend. Neighbors had reported hearing a woman’s cries and a man yelling “I’m going to kill you,” along with the sound of furniture being thrown across the apartment.
When officers arrived, according to a post on the police department’s Facebook page, the man who answered the door said he was home alone.
When questioned, the police said, ”the male became very sheepish.”
“It was a spider,” he said. “A really big one!”
What about the woman who was heard screaming, the police asked. The man said the high-pitched shrieks heard by neighbors were his own. “Yeah sorry that was me…I really really hate spiders.”
