63 out of 78 guests who dined at Noma in Copenhagen from Feb. 12-16 fell ill with the norovirus, whose symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea. Health inspectors traced the outbreak to sick workers and cited the restaurant for not properly disinfecting the kitchen. The UK’s Restaurant Magazine in 2012 voted Noma—known for organic, local food and chef René Redzepi’s foraging for ingredients by the seaside—the best restaurant in the world for the third consecutive year.
