Regrets? Former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson has a few.

The retired neurosurgeon made a startling admission in an interview with Newsmax on Mar. 14 about his endorsement of frontrunner Donald Trump, despite having been on the receiving end of some not-so-nice comments from the New York real estate developer. “I have to look at what is practical,” Carson explained. “I didn’t see a path for Kasich, who I like, or for Rubio, who I like.”

“Is there another scenario that I would have preferred? Yes,” he admitted.

Carson went on to insist that Donald Trump “loves America” and will “surround himself with really good people.” One of them could be Carson himself—he told Newsmax he will be involved in a hypothetical Trump administration “certainly in an advisory” position, but would not elaborate beyond that.
