Police were called to Apple’s Cupertino, California headquarters today, after a body of an Apple employee was found in a conference room, Fox affiliate KTVU reported.
An emergency call to police reported that a person with a head wound had been discovered at 1 Infinite Loop, the Apple campus address, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
There are conflicting details about the victim: According to tabloid news site TMZ, which claims to have acquired the audio from the Santa Clara County Sheriff Office’s police scanner, a female Apple employee was found with a head wound, potentially from a gun, after being involved in an argument on campus.
But local ABC reporter Matt Keller reported that the person was male.
According to the Mercury News, Sargent Andrea Urena of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said the death at Apple’s campus was an “isolated incident” and that “nobody else on campus or in the public is at risk.”
Apple wasn’t immediately available for comment. We will update this post when further information becomes available.
