Just two weeks after unveiling a new slew of MacBook Pro laptops that only contain USB-C ports, Apple seems to be acknowledging that it may have tried to force its users into the future a little too soon.

Today, Apple cut the price of the myriad adapters that it sells, according to Business Insider. Apple’s new computers have been criticized as being user-unfriendly for many of the professionals that use its computers. The old Pro models had an HDMI port, an SD card reader, four (regular) USB ports, a Thunderbolt port, and a MagSafe magnetic charging cable. Now, to hook up a TV screen, download photos from a camera, or connect just about any peripheral device made in the last decade, to the new MacBook Pro, you’ll have to use an adapter that has a USB-C connecter on one end.

Apple is cutting the price of some of its adapters by as much as 40%:

Apple hasn’t explicitly admitted that it’s lowering adapter prices as a concession to the fact that its $1,500-and-up machines require an inordinate number of accessories to connect to devices that its old laptops connected to without problems. However, it does seem that the company is trying to make the transition to a USB-C (and wireless) life a little easier. Although some disagree:

And others wonder why some of these cables weren’t just included with the very expensive laptops. There’s recent precedent, too: When Apple released its iPhone 7 smartphones in September without a headphone jack, the company included a tiny adapter in the box so that its customers could still use their regular headphones, even though the new phone didn’t have a 3.5 mm jack built-in.

Apple wasn’t immediately available to comment on the sudden price drop to Quartz, but told Business Insider in a statement:

We recognize that many users, especially pros, rely on legacy connectors to get work done today and they face a transition. We want to help them move to the latest technology and peripherals, as well as accelerate the growth of this new ecosystem. Through the end of the year, we are reducing prices on all USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 peripherals we sell, as well as the prices on Apple’s USB-C adapters and cables.

It’s worth noting that the price drop appears to only be through 2016, according to Business Insider, so make sure to get all your dongles and accessories for that new computer as soon as you can.
