The a2 Milk Company is voluntarily recalling three batches of its a2 Platinum Premium infant formula sold in the U.S. after testing detected cereulide, a toxin produced by some strains of the bacterium Bacillus cereus.
Of the 63,078 tins of a2 Platinum Premium Infant Formula 0-12 months covered by the recall — a 31.7oz product sold under a USA label — roughly 16,428 made it to consumers, according to the company. The product was distributed through a2 Milk's website, Amazon $AMZN, and Meijer stores as part of Operation Fly Formula.
The three affected batch numbers are 2210269454, 2210324609, and 2210321712, with use-by dates of July 15, 2026, Jan. 21, 2027, and Jan. 15, 2027, respectively. The batch number and expiration date appear on the bottom of each tin.
