Regina Wallace-Jones, the chief executive of ActBlue, said she would refuse to answer questions from the House Administration Committee, a Republican-led panel, when she took her seat before it on June 10 to address scrutiny over how the Democratic fundraising platform screens contributions from foreign donors.
Wallace-Jones made the announcement in an opinion essay published in the Washington Post on the morning of her scheduled testimony. She described invoking her constitutional right as "the only reasonable response to a proceeding that from the beginning has been about harassing a political opponent's fund-raising platform, not genuine oversight," according to the Washington Post.
