Cynthia Breazeal is the co-founder and chief experience office at Jibo, Inc., the Boston-based developer of the first social robot for the home. She also serves as associate professor of media arts and sciences at MIT, where she founded and directs the Personal Robots Group at the MIT Media Lab. Cynthia is recognized globally as a pioneer in social robotics and human-robot interaction. Her research focuses on developing the principles, techniques, and technologies for personal robots that are socially intelligent, interact with people in human-centric terms, work with humans as peers, and learn from people as apprentices.
