Dr. Muller is a cardiologist in Boston working at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a major affiliate of the Harvard Medical School. In 1972, Dr. Muller helped prepare US-USSR Health Cooperation documents for secretary of state Henry Kissinger and president Nixon to use at his summit meeting with chairman Brezhnev. In 1980, while a faculty member at the Harvard Medical School, Dr. Muller, began work with the International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW). In 1982 Dr. Muller participated in a TV discussion against nuclear weapons watched by over 100 million Russians. In 1985, IPPNW was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
