With the average new car costing around $50,000, searching for a good deal is just common sense.

Consumer Reports is making it easy. It compiled a list of the best deals on new cars as the end of the year approaches.

“We found many models offering significant savings, but to make sure the featured cars represent smart buys, we concentrated on models with a strong Overall Score, factoring road-test performance, owner satisfaction, reliability, and safety,” CR said.
