The Cuisinart PerfecTemp 14 Cup Programmable DCC-3200 got some of the strongest scores from Consumer Reports, which found "no discernible flaws in its performance." It said the machine brews good coffee, is pretty easy to use, and isn't difficult to clean. It retails for around $120.

The Cuisinart Coffee on Demand DCC-3000 was rated the best self-serve drip coffee maker. Like the PerfecTemp, CR found no flaws with the model, which will brew a single cup of coffee without needing a k-cup. CR found it easy to use and clean. It's priced between $120-$150.

The Melitta Aroma Fresh Plus 10-Cup will grind the beans for you, guaranteeing freshness. CR found it particularly easy to use and like the carafe it comes with. It costs between $250-$300.
