One woman critically wounded as ages of those hurt span from 6 to 37 in late-night Brooklyn attack
Four children were among eight people struck by gunfire late Saturday in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, according to NBC News.
Police were called to the area around 10:37 p.m. on reports of a shooting. Eight people with gunshot wounds were discovered when officers got there, and all were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Among those hurt were four boys: a 14-year-old with a thigh wound, a 12-year-old hit in the leg, a 7-year-old with injuries to both legs, and a 6-year-old who suffered a stomach wound, according to NBC News.
Of the eight victims, seven were reported in stable condition. A 21-year-old woman who was shot in the chest was listed in critical condition.
Police found a gun at the scene. As of the time of reporting, no one had been arrested, and investigators had not yet publicly named any suspects, according to NBC News.
