Domino $DPZ's announced Monday it will give away $1 million worth of free pizzas if any player on the U.S. national soccer team receives a red card during this summer's World Cup tournament.
To enter, fans must sign up at dominos.com/emergency-pizzas-for-soccer no later than June 10 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Should a U.S. player be issued a red card at any point during the tournament, Domino's will draw more than 60,000 random winners, each of whom will receive a free medium two-topping pizza. Winners must be enrolled in Domino's Rewards and redeem the pizza before Aug. 2, 2026, the company said.
"Soccer gurus know the worst thing to happen in a game is for a player on the team you're rooting for to receive a red card," Kate Trumbull, Domino's EVP and CMO, said in a statement. "If that happens to the American squad, Domino's is here to help ease the pain by giving away Emergency Pizzas."
The promotion is separate from an additional giveaway tied to EA Sports FC 26. Every Friday through June 5, eligible U.S.-based players of the game who are at least 18 years old may be randomly chosen to receive a promo code redeemable for a free medium two-topping pizza. That giveaway covers 75,000 pizzas in total, the company said.
Domino's is also releasing a limited-edition merchandise line developed with Saturdays Football, featuring jerseys, a cap, and slides, available at saturdaysfootball.com/dominos.
The promotions come as Domino's works to attract cost-conscious customers. The chain has leaned on deals such as its "Emergency Pizza" offer to drive traffic, but its first-quarter U.S. same-store sales rose just 0.9% — well short of analyst expectations — and the company posted a net income decline of 6.6% to $139.8 million. Domino's had projected full-year U.S. same-store sales growth of 3% for fiscal 2026.
Domino's operates more than 22,300 stores across more than 90 markets and reported global retail sales of over $20.4 billion in the trailing four quarters ended March 22, 2026, the company said.
