U.S. stock futures pointed higher Friday, lifted by a rise in Apple $AAPL stock and a drop in oil prices, as trading entered a new month.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures climbed 210 points, equivalent to a 0.4% gain. Nasdaq $NDAQ 100 futures were little changed, while S&P 500 futures edged up 0.3%.
Shares of Apple $AAPL jumped more than 3% ahead of the opening bell after the company beat Wall Street estimates for both earnings and revenue in its fiscal second quarter. Guidance for the current quarter's revenue also exceeded expectations, helping to offset disappointment over iPhone sales falling short of estimates.
