Boeing’s got new issues with two separate aircrafts. The aerospace company has temporarily stopped test flights after finding damage during a routine inspection.

Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines merger took a big step. The Department of Justice finished its review of the $1.9 billion tie-up without any legal challenge. Now, the airlines just need the Transportation Department’s approval.

Edgar Bronfman made a $4.3 billion bid for Paramount. The heir to the Seagram Co. liquor empire made a last minute bid as the deal nears the end of its “go-shop” period.

Kamala Harris wants to raise the corporate tax rate to 28%. The change is intended to be a responsible financial move “to benefit working people and ensure billionaires and big corporations pay their fair share.”Meanwhile, independent grocers pushed back on claims that Harris’ grocery price gouging plan would be a viable solution.

Eli LiIly’s Zepbound could eliminate the risk of diabetes in overweight people. Recent trial results build on previous findings that Zepbound might offer extra health benefits beyond just weight loss.

BMV made a big recall. The automaker recalled 720,000 cars due to an electrical short issue that could pose a fire risk.

Airlines have a ‘capacity’ crisis

Airlines have way more flights available than they do passengers looking to fly. Cue in the “capacity” panic button Deutsche Bank predicted U.S. airlines would hit.

The firm recently said it had observed a notable reduction in the number of flights for December, with available seat mile growth dropping from to 4% from 4.8%.

Beyoncé’s new whiskey costs less than $100

Beyoncé wants you to have more than just hot sauce in your bag. Perhaps some whiskey, too.

Beyoncé has teamed up with Moët Hennessy to create SirDavis, a whiskey made and bottled entirely in Texas. The spirit is the first to be developed entirely within the U.S. by Moët Hennessy, which is headquartered in Houston.

SirDavis pays tribute to Beyoncé’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a Prohibition-era moonshiner. Quartz’s Madeline Fitzgerald has more on where and when the $89 whiskey will be available.
