Weed goes legit
It’s kind of amazing to watch, isn’t it? The legalization of weed doesn’t just have personal or legal ramifications, it’s also creating a whole new industry. Centuries of expertise in branding, marketing, and advertising are now being brought to bear on something that used to be distributed only furtively.
Today, we examine two outgrowths of pot’s maturation into a consumer product: a photo essay that looks at the packaging of legal cannabis products (the only way most cannabis companies advertise), and a Q&A with Peter Horvath, the former COO of lingerie-retailer Victoria’s Secret and current CEO of Green Growth Brands, a cannabis-based holding company.
