Dear Quartz members—
You may have already caught up with the new versions of QZ.com and our iOS app, but if you haven’t, I’d urge you to take a look. They’re designed to place you, our members, at the heart of Quartz.
Our daily headlines of the most interesting and important global business news are now displayed in a continually updated briefing that showcases the best of Quartz: award-winning original journalism alongside smart curation—and contributions from our members, too.
The briefing reflects Quartz’s lens on the global economy and our respect for your time. In just a few minutes, it should leave you feeling caught up, informed, and exposed to a wide range of perspectives—not just the news, but the context to understand it too.
As members, you (and only you) can make contributions directly on the homepage and on articles, appearing alongside Quartz’s journalists and a roster of Quartz Pros, like venture capitalist Kai-Fu Lee, writer Elif Shafak, political scientist Ian Bremmer, activist and comedian Baratunde Thurston, and planetary scientist Linda Elkins-Tanton. We believe the combination of original reporting and regular contributions from top thinkers and doers provides all readers with valuable context and insight.
You will find lots of other new features to improve your experience of Quartz, over and above unlimited access to all our coverage. We’ve created a new member library that houses our guides to the new global economy, (including this week’s guide to the future of war), our current documentary series, Because China, plus stories and presentations we publish exclusively for members. We now offer light and dark modes for reading comfort. And you can tell us about your obsessions, which will help us personalize your experience over time.
A new Android app with the same features will launch in November. Also coming soon are UK and India editions, and a subscription email product, written in Japanese, to serve our members in Japan.
We’d love to hear what you think, so please let us know at members@qz.com.
Cheers,
Xana Antunes
