JetBlue Airways reported a net loss of $319 million in the first quarter of 2026, wider than the $208 million loss it posted in the same period a year earlier. Wall Street had forecast a 73-cent adjusted loss per share, according to Barron's, making the actual 86-cent result a meaningful miss. Shares had already shed 6.2% the day before the report and extended those declines by another 1.5% in premarket trading on April 28.
Total operating revenue reached $2.2 billion for the quarter, up 4.7% year-over-year. Revenue per available seat mile rose 6.5% year-over-year, the company said, coming in at the better end of its revised guidance range.
