The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.54 per share.
The automotive seating and electrical distribution systems company posted revenue of $5.78 billion in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.51 billion.
Lear expects full-year revenue in the range of $23.1 billion to $23.3 billion.
