If you're going to buy an SUV, you want to make sure the trunk won't fill up quickly the next time you take a trip.

Luxury SUVs are getting bigger and bigger, but how does their trunk space hold up?
To find out, Consumer Reports created a list of the luxury mid-sized SUVs it tested that have the most cargo space. These vehicles, especially with the back seats down, should give you plenty of room to lug fit all your luggage for a long trip or fill to the brim after an excursion to the mall.

Starting at $46,400, the three-row Enclave unlocks 50 cu. ft. of cargo with both rear rows folded. At 20 mpg overall, though, it's not the most fuel-efficient.

From $56,740, the TX borrows its bones from the Toyota $TM Grand Highlander but has a much more luxurious feel. It provides 49 cu. ft. of storage and gets 21 mpg overall, among the most fuel-efficient three-row SUVs on this list. CR recommends it.

The all-electric R1S starts at $76,990 and delivers 49 cu. ft. of cargo once both rows fold flat, plus a bonus front trunk for overflow. It returned 358 miles on CR's highway range test — an appealing proposition if you can stomach the somewhat rough ride.

Priced from $56,910, the Aviator gets 49 cu. ft. of cargo capacity and 19 mpg overall. CR recommends this vehicle.

Starting at $63,500, the Defender provides 43 cu. ft. of cargo space and has more off-road credentials than almost anything else on this list. It gets 18 mpg overall.

From $60,200, the boxy three-row Discovery provides nearly 43 cu. ft. of cargo room and gets 17 mpg.
