MCLEAN, Va. (AP) — MCLEAN, Va. (AP) — Maximus Inc. (MMS) on Wednesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $59.1 million.

The McLean, Virginia-based company said it had profit of 96 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and non-recurring costs, were $1.29 per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.34 per share.

The government health services provider posted revenue of $1.26 billion in the period, also missing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.27 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $161.8 million, or $2.63 per share. Revenue was reported as $4.9 billion.

Maximus expects full-year earnings in the range of $5.05 to $5.35 per share, with revenue in the range of $5.05 billion to $5.2 billion.
