Neura Robotics announced a Series C financing of up to $1.4 billion on Wednesday, drawing backing from Amazon $AMZN, Nvidia $NVDA, Tether, Qualcomm $QCOM Technologies, Bosch, Schaeffler, the European Investment Bank, and others to accelerate what the company calls a Physical AI platform.
The Metzingen, Germany-based company said the round is the largest ever for a full-stack robotics company and that its existing orders and strategic deployment pipeline exceed $1 billion. The funding will be used to scale manufacturing toward production of several million robots by 2030, expand its Neuraverse software platform, and build out a global network of training environments for cognitive robots, the company said.
People familiar with the deal put the company's valuation at approximately $7 billion, Bloomberg reported, though Neura did not address the figure when asked. Not all of the capital is guaranteed upfront; CNBC reported that disbursement of the full amount depends on Neura meeting specified performance benchmarks.
Tether, the stablecoin issuer, is the lead investor in the round, the company announced. Beyond the capital, Tether said it will integrate two of its technologies into Neura's platform: a Wallet Development Kit that would embed payment functionality directly into robotic systems, and an edge AI runtime called QVAC that allows AI models to run locally on devices rather than relying on cloud infrastructure.
"Autonomous machines need the ability to process information locally, make decisions, and transact without relying on centralized intermediaries," Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said in a statement.
Amazon's participation extends an existing partnership with Neura. "This investment is a natural extension of our strategic partnership with NEURA Robotics and our shared conviction in the transformative potential of Physical AI," said Nafea Bshara, vice president and distinguished engineer at Amazon, in a statement, noting the company would provide cloud infrastructure and AI tools including Amazon Bedrock and AWS Trainium chips.
Neura founder and CEO David Reger said the company aims to compete with robotics leaders in the U.S. and China. "Many believed globally relevant AI infrastructure companies could only emerge from Silicon Valley," Reger said in a statement. "With this financing, Neura is firmly among the global leaders in the robotics race."
Data from Dealroom show that investment in robotics companies has reached $55.8 billion through mid-2026, an all-time high that is roughly twice what the sector attracted in all of 2025.
The company's product lineup — built up since its 2019 founding — spans humanoid robots, a factory transport robot, and an arm-equipped device aimed at home use.
