Earlier this year, rocker Jon Bon Jovi launched a brand of rosé, dubbed Hampton Water, with his son Jesse. This week, the wine made Wine Spectator’s list of the 100 best wines in 2018. What’s more, it was the top-rated rosé on the venerable list, a major accolade for such a young venture. Without further ado, to the tune of the 1986 smash hit “Living on a Prayer”…
Once upon a time not so long ago
Jonny is a winemaker now
Rosé is his thing
Made with his son, it’s bright
So bright
Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Syrah
Hampton Water’s the name
It made Wine Spectator’s list
The list
They say, “Don’t hold on to what you’ve got
It’s made to drink now, for the cellar it’s not
It’s a list of 100 and that’s not a lot of wines
Just give it a shot”
Ohh, he’s more than just hair
Whoa, Bon Jovi’s rosé is everywhere
Raise your glass, it’s pink juice I swear
Oh-oh, rosé is everywhere
It’s 83 on the list
Bon Jovi’s famous again
For minerality so crisp
It’s crisp, oooh it’s crisp
Gérard Bertrand makes the wine, allez
Mixing Hampton Water in France
In the south where they’re hot for rosé
Ooooh rosé
They say, “Don’t hold on to what you’ve got
It’s made to drink now, for the cellar it’s not
It’s a list of 100 and that’s not a lot of wines
Just give it a shot”
Ohh, he’s more than just hair
Whoa, Bon Jovi’s rosé is everywhere
Raise your glass, it’s pink juice, I swear
Oh-oh, rosé is everywhere
Rosé is everywhere
Ooh we’ve got to drink up, fizzy or hot
You live for rosé when it’s summer or not
Ohh, he’s more than just hair
Whoa, Bon Jovi’s rosé is everywhere
Raise your glass, it’s pink juice I swear
Oh-oh, rosé is everywhere
Ohh, he’s more than just hair
Whoa, Bon Jovi’s rosé is everywhere
Raise your glass, it’s pink juice I swear
Oh-oh, rosé is everywhere
