Raising Cane's is releasing two limited-edition collector's cups tied to country singer Megan Moroney's Cloud 9 Tour, with both items available starting Thursday.
The first is the Rhinestone Tumbler, a purple rhinestone-covered cup that holds 24 ounces and retails for $19.99. The design traces back to a custom cup created exclusively for Moroney when she first partnered with Raising Cane's at an event in Athens, Georgia. After fans expressed interest in purchasing one, Raising Cane's owner and founder Todd Graves made it available to the public. It can be purchased in-store or through RaisingCanesGear.com while supplies last. A portion of each tumbler sale — $2 per unit — benefits the Megan Moroney Foundation, an organization dedicated to kindness, anti-bullying efforts, and mental health advocacy.
The second item is the "Cloud 9" Souvenir Cup, a glittery pink vessel that comes paired with a coordinating lid and straw, printed with Moroney's autograph and a scannable QR code pointed at the album's page. Unlike the tumbler, this cup is only available in-store at participating locations. It is priced as an add-on to any combo or 32-ounce drink order for a modest upcharge, according to Allrecipes.
The cups are the latest development in Moroney's partnership with the chicken finger chain. The collaboration began last fall when Moroney appeared at a Raising Cane's in Athens, near the University of Georgia, where she studied. She also partnered with Raising Cane's to host a surprise Cloud 9 listening event at the chain's Times Square $SQ outpost on February 20, giving fans an early taste of the record.
"My favorite thing about the Cane's partnership is that it's just so organic. My Twitter $TWTR bio used to say, 'Can I please get a Box Combo with an extra sauce and a Sprite?'" Moroney told Yahoo Entertainment. "It's very easy to partner with Cane's, and I love Todd. I love his story; he's very hardworking, kind, and his whole family is wonderful."
At the Athens event, Moroney reflected on the partnership's personal significance. "Every time I'm here, I'm reminded that I used to be the sorority girl singing songs in the house without anyone to listen to them, and now I'm here at the same Cane's my friends and I would come to, celebrating the upcoming release of my third album," she told Yahoo Entertainment.
Both cups are available while supplies last.
