Authorities in Lexington, South Carolina, are searching for a personal trainer who was last seen leaving a gym on June 11 and walking toward a nearby wooded area, according to ABC News.
According to ABC News, records show Moore checked into the Planet Fitness location at 560 Whiteford Way around 6:40 p.m. that Thursday; she was subsequently seen heading in the direction of a wooded area adjacent to a nearby Lowe's $LOW Home Improvement store. Moore, who works as a personal trainer at Wolf's Fitness Center in Lexington, was reported missing the following day by someone who told police she regularly visited that gym location.
Since she was last observed leaving the gym, Moore has not been heard from; authorities have also noted that she does not own or have access to a car. Whether she had her cellphone with her remains unclear, according to NBC News.
A drone-assisted sweep of the woods the following day came up empty, according to NBC News. A second, larger effort earlier this week drew personnel from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, Lexington County Fire Services, and additional local agencies to the same area — yet Moore remained unaccounted for when that search concluded.
Police describe Moore as a white woman with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 120 pounds and 5 feet 7 inches tall. At the time she was last observed, she had on black athletic pants and an olive-green zip-up hoodie.
"This is very out of character for her," Lexington Police Department Inspector Missy Silcox told ABC News.
