Starbucks $SBUX is launching a limited-edition collaboration with Miffy, the Dutch cartoon rabbit, at participating coffeehouses in the U.S. and Canada starting Monday, May 19, while supplies last.
The collection includes a 14-ounce ceramic mug ($29.95), a 27-ounce water bottle ($32.95), a 24-ounce plastic cold cup with a Miffy straw charm ($27.95), a 26-ounce stainless steel cold cup ($32.95), an 18-ounce stainless steel tumbler ($27.95), gift cards, and a boxed Miffy plush dressed in a Starbucks green apron ($34.95), the company said. Miffy's distinctive outline appears throughout, paired with signature Starbucks imagery in shades of pink, green, and red.
Starbucks Rewards Reserve members can access additional items through the Starbucks Shop online, including a large Miffy plush ($49.95), a nylon tote ($39.95), and a zippered pouch ($24.95), the company said.
North America is receiving the collection after it debuted in Singapore and broader Asia-Pacific markets, the company said. Dick Bruna, a Dutch artist, first drew Miffy in 1955; the character has since become a global publishing phenomenon, with books released in 50 languages totaling more than 90 million copies sold.
"With Miffy, we really felt a connection through her curiosity and gentle nature," said Krystn Fuerst, who led the collaboration for Starbucks, in a statement. "We wanted her character to come alive through our signature drinkware to bring something new to Miffy fans and Starbucks customers."
Marja Kerkhof, who oversees the Miffy brand worldwide for Mercis bv, said in a statement that the character's appeal stems from the simplicity of Dick Bruna's illustrations. "Her face and silhouette are instantly recognizable," Kerkhof said. "We've seen some great reaction in other markets and we're anticipating fans in the U.S. and Canada will love it as well."
Demand may already be outpacing supply before the collection hits shelves. Staff members at Starbucks, who receive early access to merchandise before it goes on sale publicly, took to Reddit $RDDT to report they were struggling to secure items from the collection, according to Today.
The Miffy launch follows Starbucks' rollout of its summer 2026 menu on May 12, which included a new Tropical Butterfly Refresher and horchata-inspired beverages. The merchandise collaboration arrives as Starbucks works to rebuild customer traffic after an extended period of declining same-store sales. The company reported its first same-store sales growth in almost two years last quarter, with CEO Brian Niccol saying the turnaround is "taking hold."
