Anne Rice’s classic vampire novels have gained new found popularity, in the wake of the hit AMC (AMCX) adaptation – making this the perfect time to dig deeper into the Louisiana writer’s legacy.

Many of Rice’s personal effects, including this annotated copy of “Interview with the Vampire” are available at Bonham’s Elegance of the Eternal sale – which will close on the appropriately spooky date of October 31. Bidding on this copy of the beloved novel, featuring Rice’s handwritten notes, has already exceeded $3,000.

Babcock Galleries of New York commissioned Aaron Shikler to create this charcoal study of John F. Kennedy in 1989. This rendition of Shikler’s most iconic work – Kennedy’s official White House portrait – is based on the model that the artist used to complete the painting in 1970. Bidding on the drawing starts at $15,000 and will close on November 2.

Banksy’s original rendition of “Love is in the Air” was graffitied on a wall in Palestine’s West Bank in 2003. The artist subsequently released 150 signed versions and 600 unsigned screenprint versions. This print comes from the collection of fellow street artist and Banksy collaborator Steve Lazarides. Bidding will close on the print – worth an estimated $40,000 to $60,000 – on October 31.

Bidding on the uniform has already reached $50,000 and will continue through November 9.

This René Boivin pendant features 96 rubies and 36 diamonds, set in gold, and placed on a suede cord. The necklace, worth an estimated $120,000 to $180,000, will be up for auction on October 30. If the piece itself isn’t extravagant enough, its luxurious pedigree should fascinate any lover of mid-20th century high society.

The necklace’s original owner, magazine editor Babe Paley, was an iconic socialite – she was married to the founder of CBS (PARA) and was a close associate of Truman Capote. Naomi Watts portrayed Paley in this year’s FX (DIS) series “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.”
