The handles on the stainless-steel Enfinigy and Enfinigy Pro kettles can detach, spilling hot liquid on users

ZWILLING J. A. Henckels Aktiengesellschaft recalled about 113,440 electric kettles sold in the U.S. after receiving reports that the handles can loosen and separate from the kettle body, causing hot liquid to spill and posing a serious burn hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
Both the 1.5-liter Enfinigy Electric Kettle and the 1.5-liter Enfinigy Electric Kettle Pro are stainless-steel models, available in a range of colors: black, silver, rose, gold, and pure white. Among the incidents logged with ZWILLING, 163 involved handles that loosened or came loose from the body; in five of those cases the handle fully separated, and one consumer suffered a second-degree burn.
The kettles were sold at Costco $COST, HomeGoods, and zwilling.com between Dec. 2019 and Feb. 2026, priced between $120 and $200. An additional 43,963 units were sold in Canada and 48 in Mexico. For the standard Enfinigy, relevant model numbers are 53101-200 and 53101-201; the Enfinigy Pro spans models 53101-500 through 53101-504. Both the model number and the ZWILLING brand name are printed on the underside of the kettle and its power base.
The CPSC is urging consumers to stop using the kettles immediately. U.S. customers seeking a refund can start the process at zwilling.com/kettle-recall; the site walks users through several steps before disposal, including unplugging the kettle, severing the power cord, and submitting a photograph of the unit. Costco members can also return the product to their local warehouse for a full refund, according to Good Housekeeping. Federal law prohibits the sale of any product subject to a recall conducted in consultation with the CPSC, the agency said.
