Ford $F Motor Co. will close a 48-year-old Belgian factory in 2014, eliminating 4,300 jobs, as the carmaker scales back surplus capacity in response to Europe’s slumping auto market. Production of the Mondeo mid-size sedan, S-Max wagon, and Galaxy minivan will shift to Ford’s factory in Valencia, Spain.
