Despite working longer hours, Indian office workers are much happier with their jobs than workers in the US and the UK.
Eighty-three percent of Indian survey respondents say they love their jobs, according to a recent survey by Adobe. Only 70% in the US and 61% in the UK said the same.
The “Work In Progress” survey (pdf) was conducted by US software maker Adobe between April 17 and April 24. Its 20-minute online survey was answered by 502 respondents in India, 1,003 in the US and 506 in the UK.
According to the survey, Indian respondents are so engrossed with their jobs that a majority say work defines who they are.
Perhaps that’s why Indians also admit that they spend most of their regular weekdays—and even days off—thinking about work.
Unsurprisingly, Indians also feel overwhelmed by their jobs, compared to office workers in the US and the UK.
But nearly all say they would not give up their jobs—even if they won the lottery.
