Bending Spoons S.p.A. agreed to acquire Airtable in an all-cash transaction valuing the software company at an enterprise value of $1.285 billion, the companies said Tuesday, marking the Italian technology firm's first acquisition since its Nasdaq $NDAQ debut last month.
When combined with Airtable's current net cash-and-cash-equivalents balance, the deal implies an equity value of approximately $2.25 billion, the company said. Completion of the deal is anticipated before year-end, pending regulatory review and satisfaction of customary closing requirements. Both boards unanimously approved the deal.
Airtable, founded in 2013, offers a platform that combines spreadsheet and database capabilities, allowing organizations to build applications and manage workflows without writing code. The company counts more than 500,000 organizations among its customers, including 80% of the Fortune 100, and reported annual recurring revenue growing more than 20% year over year to approximately $480 million as of June 2026.

"We're committed to investing in Airtable for the long run, and doubling down on its core strength: bringing teams and workflows together in one flexible workspace."
Airtable co-founder and CEO Howie Liu said in a statement that partnering with Bending Spoons gives the company "the resources and the long-term commitment Airtable needs to pursue that vision even more boldly as we build the AI-native platform of the future."
Bending Spoons priced its Nasdaq IPO at $29 per share in July, above its marketed range, valuing the company at roughly $18.4 billion. The Milan-based company has built its portfolio through a strategy of acquiring digital businesses, cutting costs, and deploying engineering resources to improve products. Its existing holdings include AOL, which it acquired in January 2026, Eventbrite, which it acquired in March 2026, and other brands including Evernote, Vimeo, and WeTransfer.
Airtable secured more than $1.4 billion in venture backing before this deal and once commanded a valuation exceeding $11 billion at the height of the 2021 tech boom, according to TechCrunch.
Goldman Sachs $GS Bank Europe SE and J.P. Morgan are acting as co-financial advisors to Bending Spoons. Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is serving as Bending Spoons' legal counsel. Airtable is being advised by AXOM Partners LLC and Latham & Watkins LLP.
