Mountain Dew is selling a Baja Blast-scented hand sanitizer spray at Walmart $WMT, marking the PepsiCo $PEP brand's entry into the hygiene category. Walmart carries the 1.2-ounce bottles both in physical locations and through its website, with each priced at roughly $4, according to Allrecipes.

The Baja Blast sanitizer is one of several soda- and candy-branded products in the line. Other varieties spotted at Walmart include Pepsi Vanilla, Dubble Bubble, Sour Patch Kids Strawberry, Kool-Aid Pink Lemonade, Jolly Rancher Blue Raspberry, Fluffy Stuff Cotton Candy, Gushers Tropical, and ICEE Cherry, according to The Impulsive Buy. A Kool-Aid Tropical Punch version was also spotted at Five Below, according to The Impulsive Buy.

Despite the food-inspired scent, the hand sanitizer is meant for external use only and should not be consumed.

The release comes shortly after Mountain Dew began selling glass bottles of Baja Blast made with real sugar rather than the high-fructose corn syrup used in standard cans and plastic bottles. The brand has leaned into a string of special releases throughout the summer, including limited-edition commemorative can bundles sold for five cents on TikTok Shop as part of its "American Original — Tasting Great Since '48" campaign, which launched in April. Mountain Dew is among the PepsiCo brands that each generate more than $1 billion in annual retail sales, the company said.

Allrecipes points out that Mountain Dew has a track record of licensing its name outside the drink aisle, with past ventures spanning clothing, shoes, and confections.
