The San Jose, California-based company said it had profit of 12 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 46 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 29 cents per share.
The enterprise cloud platform services provider posted revenue of $565.2 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $551.8 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, Nutanix said it expects revenue in the range of $510 million to $520 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $2.12 billion to $2.15 billion.
