PL VENLO, Netherlands (AP) — PL VENLO, Netherlands (AP) — Qiagen NV (QGEN) on Monday reported third-quarter profit of $77.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the Pl Venlo, Netherlands-based company said it had net income of 34 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 50 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 49 cents per share.

The diagnostic products maker posted revenue of $475.9 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $471.5 million.
