Starbucks $SBUX is adding frozen blended versions of its Refreshers to its summer menu on Tuesday, including a surprise new flavor and a blended matcha option.
The lineup includes four blended drinks: the Blended Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Energy Refresher, the Blended Mango Strawberry Lemonade Energy Refresher, the Blended Pink Energy Drink, and the Blended Passionfruit Guava Lemonade Energy Refresher, the company said. A Blended Matcha Lemonade is also joining the menu. The Passionfruit Guava flavor and the Blended Matcha Lemonade are both available for a limited time.
Each blended Refresher is made with fruit flavors and real fruit pieces, blended together with ice and a choice of lemonade or coconut milk, the company said. The drinks contain up to 105mg of caffeine in a grande size and are a source of B vitamins. Customers can also order any Refresher blended with their choice of base and caffeine level, including a no-caffeine option.
The Passionfruit Guava flavor is available in multiple formats beyond the blended version. Customers can order it as a standard Refresher with mango-pineapple flavored pearls, or customize it with lemonade or coconut milk — the latter combination is offered under the name Island Colada Drink, the company said. The Blended Pink Energy Drink uses coconut milk as its base, along with strawberry and açaí flavors and real strawberry pieces.
The Tuesday launch is the latest addition to what has been an expanding summer menu from Starbucks. The chain brought back the S'mores Frappuccino for the first time in six years on July 1, alongside a new S'mores Cold Brew. That announcement also previewed three of the four blended Refreshers now launching. Starbucks launched its initial summer 2026 lineup in May, led by the new Tropical Butterfly Refresher and a returning horchata-inspired beverage lineup.
The summer menu expansion is part of a broader effort by Starbucks to rebuild customer traffic after an extended period of declining same-store sales. The company reported its first same-store sales growth in nearly two years last quarter, with CEO Brian Niccol saying the turnaround is taking hold. Starbucks has also made operational changes in recent months, including reviving in-store milk and sugar stations and reinstating free refills for some orders.
