Ukrop's Homestyle Foods is recalling approximately 22,880 pounds of baked spaghetti and chicken cobbler products that may be contaminated with metal slivers, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said on July 31.

Ukrop's Homestyle Foods is recalling approximately 22,880 pounds of baked spaghetti and chicken cobbler products that may be contaminated with metal slivers, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said on July 31.
The recall was triggered after a consumer found a metal piece in one of the company's products, FSIS said. The Richmond, Virginia company also said a small sliver of aluminum was found during a routine review of a baking pan used to prepare the products, and that a similar fragment was found in a chicken cobbler item. The baking pan supplier has been notified and has taken steps to remove potentially affected pan lots from distribution, the company said.
The affected products were produced between July 1 and July 29, 2026, and carry best-by dates ranging from July 8 through Aug. 5. The recall covers four items: 62.4-ounce bulk aluminum pans and 14.8-ounce single-serving trays of Ukrop's Baked Spaghetti, along with 48-ounce bulk aluminum pans and 11.6-ounce single-serving trays of Ukrop's Chicken Cobbler. All carry establishment number EST. 19979 or P-19979 in the mark of inspection, according to FSIS.
The products were distributed to retail locations in Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia, as well as through Department of Defense commissaries and online sales, FSIS said. Retailers carrying the affected items include Food Lion, Kroger, Harris Teeter, Publix, Wegmans, Libbie Market, and The Market at 25th Street, among others.
FSIS said no injuries have been confirmed. The agency added that anyone experiencing symptoms after consuming the products should seek medical attention. Consumers holding any of the recalled items are advised to dispose of them or bring them back to the retailer where they were bought for a full refund. FSIS noted it is concerned some product may still be in consumers' refrigerators or freezers.
