Analysts are getting excited about the prospect of China’s slowdown reversing. Here is a small snapshot of how Chinese economic activity is being boosted by government stimulus measures. The Chinese government has purchased a million tonnes of cotton since it introduced a new policy that allowed it to stockpile the commodity on September 8 this year. That is 150 times as much cotton as the government purchased last year.
