Today is a huge day in the history of Apple and for its CEO Tim Cook. But problems with the live stream of the event threatened to take some of the wind out of the sails of the company’s glitzy product launch. (It hardly ruined it however, the stock is up 3.4% at last glance.)
Instead of a discussion about the company’s products and services, a lot of the buzz, on Twitter at least, is about the problems with the live stream.
Some brands have already capitalized on the situation.
It’s not the first time a hotly anticipated only event has been plagued by streaming problems. It’s happened to ESPN and HBO fairly recently. And yes, while it may reflects the huge demand among for consumers for information about the company’s new products, it’s still a bit of an embarrassment.
