Sheryl Sandberg, the chief operating officer at Facebook, is joining the board of SurveyMonkey, the online polling company led by her late husband, Dave Goldberg.

Goldberg, 47, served as CEO of SurveyMonkey for six years, growing the company’s valuation to $2 billion. He died in May while on vacation in Mexico, after falling and hitting his head on a treadmill. Since his death, Sandberg, who authored the feminist manifesto Lean In, has shared her grief and posted a widely read tribute to her late husband on Facebook. In her book, she referred to Goldberg as “my best friend, closest advisor, dedicated coparent, and the love of my life.”

In a statement, Sandberg said that she plans to help “realize Dave’s vision of building a lasting company that will impact the way we all do business for years to come.”

In addition to appointing Sandberg, SurveyMonkey added Lyra Health CEO (and former Facebook finance chief) David Ebersman to its board. It also formally named Zander Lurie its chairman. Lurie, a senior vice president at GoPro, has been serving as the company’s temporary executive chairman since Goldberg’s unexpected death.
