Alex Hutchinson is a National Magazine Award-winning journalist whose writing appears in Outside, The Globe and Mail, The New York Times, and The New Yorker, and the author of Endure: Mind, Body, and the Curiously Elastic Limits of Human Performance. A former long-distance runner for the Canadian national team, he holds a master’s in journalism from Columbia and a Ph.D. in physics from Cambridge.
