Amanda Rivkin is a photographer and writer who spent the past decade living and traveling in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union; she has lived in Poland, Hungary, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine. Previously, she received two National Geographic Young Explorer Grants to photograph and report in Bosnia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey as well as a Fulbright grant to Azerbaijan and a McCloy Fellowship in Journalism from the American Council on Germany to report in Germany and Poland.
